PhD…!

Patience

PhD..!

Its just a three letter word but it takes years to complete that degree. I’m not lucky enough to reach that glorious stage but my close friends who achieved/achieving that heights in front of my eyes.

There are lot of struggles from the starting point to till they get the degree. First of all, they need a lot of courage just to think that they want to purse the PhD degree. Even if they get that, their family need to accept that hard decision. Before starting the course, already they might have spent 6 years to qualify. Once they started, their seniors will disturb and ask help to complete their work as you have just started, their guide will ask help to complete their work, their guide will forced to take care of their classes, etc, etc.

They have to manage these all struggles and even if they do so, at one point of time, their hope will start decreasing. sometime even their family members will not understand their pain behind that hard work towards their goal. From no where the financial ghost arise and start troubling that. They start feeling embarrassed to ask money to their family even if they are not spending money on unwanted things like other.

Apart from these struggles, there is one more big hurdles is the society. Everyone started asking them, “are u still studying?”, “whenare you going to complete?” such questions will be coming from everyone and every time. The guy who doesn’t even went to school also will be asking such silly question, that hurts more. Also, all their friends gets a job and settled in their life. Parents started comparing with them too.

With all of these the pains and embarrassment, why they are doing this Phd?

Is it for money? Is it for fame? is it for the Dr. symbol in front of their name?

Never……..!

Its there inner zeal to purse the degree at any cost!
Its their childhood dream to get that degree!
Its like their spiritual destination in their life!

A big standing ovation who completed their Phd degree!

And those who are studying, all the best and keep doing!

I would call them as “Superman/Superwoman in Education”, they fight for what they love , they struggle to reach their goal, they fall down and they will win for sure.

With Love,

Purush
